Kamen Rider "The First" was certainly not the original of the 30ish year old series when it came out in 2005, but it was trying to represent the original continuity for a new audience. However, while the original series (blog post) was aimed more at children, the new audience the studio seemed to be after included adults.. adults who seemingly don't care much for tokusatsu. They do however, love them (blog post) some drama. Oh boy...
